Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Pro rumours, specs and release date
It’s not even up to a month that Infinix Mobility announced and released the Infinix Note 4 and Infinix Note 4 Pro smartphone duo and there is already information (or should I say speculations) about older, bigger and upgraded versions of the Infinix Note 4 and Infinix Note 4 devices – the Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Pro.
The Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro arguably took Infinix fans, users and everyone by surprise. The smartphone had features that no one literally expected. Features like the X-Pen stylus pen on the Infinix Note 4 Pro, front-facing fingerprint scanner and the flash charge feature (which gives an unbelievable 250 minutes talk time on 5 minutes charge). Enough on the Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro, let’s get down to the business of the day.
DESIGN & DISPLAY
The Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro both had 6.0-inch screens. The upcoming Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are also expected to come with same 6.0 inch screen. However, it is highly likely that the Note 5 Pro will boast of a bigger 6.2-inch screen size.
Both the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will definitely have top-notch display quality with most likely a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, higher pixel density greater than 400ppi; more than the Note 4’s 367ppi and protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
It is also expected that Infinix will adopt the front-facing fingerprint scanner on the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro.
PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE
Unlike the Note 4 and Note 4 Pro that had a nice processor but a rather unimpressive small RAM, the Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Pro are both expected to be heavy perfomers as they have been speculated to come out of the box with expected to be a Deca-core processor by MediaTek.
The RAM of the Infinix Note 5 is expected to be pegged at 4GB RAM while that of the Note 5 Pro, 6GB RAM. Internal storage is most likely 32GB for the Note 5 and 64GB for the Note 5 Pro.
As regards the Operating system, since the Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro duo is highly speculated for a 2018 release, it is expected that it will run on the latest Android 8.0.
CAMERA & BATTERY
Come 2018, it is believed that the camera of the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will outshine the Infinix Note 4. There’s a possibility of the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro having a Dual rear camera set-up in the form of 18MP + 2MP sensors with dual-tone LED flash and 13MP sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. Surely, there would also be a LED flash up front.
The Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will be the 5th pair from the Note series and in that sense, a non-removable 5,000mAh Li-Polymer battery is expected to power the devices. Of course, there will be Quick charge technology enabled on both the devices and the device chargers. This time, we really can’t seem to stop working wondering how much power a 5-minutes charge will give on the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro.
PRICING & AVAILABILITY
The Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will cost more than Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro. A price range of N65,000 – 70,000 is speculated for the Note 5 while the Note 5 Pro could nothing less than N78,000 – 83,000.
The possibility of Infinix releasing any new device to the Note series this 2017 is very slim. In fact, it would be a bad business move. Therefore, a June – August 2018 release date is speculated for the Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Pro smartphones.
Other expected features of Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Pro smartphones include:
X-Pen stylus pen
Waterproof or Water resistance
USB Type-C
2.5D Curved glass
