Angry Nigerians blast Ezenwa, call for Enyeama's return

Following Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s less than impressive showing against Algeria in the final 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday, Nigerians have take to twitter to blast the goalkeeper, while also calling for the return of Vincent Enyeama.

There has been a debate on whether Enyeama should be persuaded out of retirement after Carl Ikeme went down with Leukemia.

Daniel Akpeyi and Ezenwa are the two goalkeepers who have auditioned for the No 1 position since then, but neither have really impressed, even though the latter had a decent showing in the games against Cameroon and Zambia.

But with Ezenwa’s below-par showing against Algeria, it has now renewed calls for the return of Enyeama. See more of the tweets below.
