If the Catalan giants want to sign any Liverpool player before 2021, they will have to dig deep into their pockets and pay well above the market rate
This was reflected in an agreement between the two clubs last winter, when the Catalans closed the deal for the hiring of Philippe Coutinho. The agreement, revealed by Cadena Ser, states that any Liverpool player that Barcelona wants to sign up to 2021 will have a surcharge of 100 million euros added to the figure of a hypothetical transfer agreement.
For example, the operation to take Mohamed Salah to the Camp Nou would prove practically impossible for the Catalans. Taking into account that the market value of the Egyptian attacker is around 150 million euros (according to Transfermarkt), his signing would skyrocket to 250 million euros.
